I recently filled this summer’s R&R quota on a week-long beach vacation. The small town borders Lake Huron and is known for its out-of-this-world beautiful sunsets (the picture below doesn’t do them justice). Anyways, the cottage we rented happened to have handmade dishcloths, and the town had a yarn outlet. Obviously this led to a new knitting endeavor.
Since I’m usually creating projects to protect from cold Canadian winters, cotton yarn was actually new to me. This Bernat yarn had interesting transitioning colours that reminded me of a sunset — hence the name of this post. I looked pretty silly on the beach taking blog photos but you only vacation once, or something like that…
As you’ll see once you scroll down, I’m not a complete pro at pattern abbreviations. I usually just try to document what I did, which will hopefully help others do the same.
