When I was making this, I wasn’t entirely sure where I would put it or if it was worth the hours spent. Once I got past those pointless questions (there’s always a time and place for crochet), I knew exactly where it could go: right beside my may-or-may-not be dead cactus and Ikea planters that I use for hair clips. Perfect!
I can’t lie, this is one of my favourite projects that I’ve posted thus far. It’s super crafty, this is true, but it has a look that I really do love. It took about 3-4 hours to complete since I’m a bit rusty, so it could take you even less time. Without further ado…
Crochet Catch All
In The Round
Materials:
- Medium-weight twine
- Fine or worsted weight yarn
- Size 5.50MM Crochet Hook
Crochet Stitches Used:
- Single crochet
- Double crochet
- Triple crochet
Pattern:
** Note: The circle will ripple as you increase, however it will flatten out.
Chain 4 stitches and join in the round
Single crochet 6 times into the centre to create first round
Row 2: Single crochet twice into each stitch to increase (24 total)
Row 3: Double crochet twice into each stitch (48 total)
Row 4: Repeat row 3 without increasing (48 total)
Row 5: Single crochet twice into each stitch (96 total)
Row 6 & 7: Double crochet for two rounds without increasing
Row 8: Single crochet for a round without increasing
Row 9 & 10: Double crochet for two rounds without increasing
Row 11: Triple crochet for one round without increasing
Using only the yarn, single crochet for one round create a contrasting rim
Finish: Ensure all knots are secure and trim
