Another cup cozy? Yes. Not only can I no longer handle a little bit of coffee cup heat on my hands but I’m also a cup cozy fiend. After I figured out how to knit a cozy, a crochet version wasn’t too far behind. I actually like the crochet version more. Crochet is generally thicker, which amps up the hand protecting factor. It also makes for a quicker project. I’ve limited myself to one so far, but I can see this becoming a project that I’ll create to excess (along with my many hats and headbands).
Bonus points for accidentally matching my cozy to my notebook. Life is all about small wins.
I’m already planning my next variation of this project with crochet ribbing. While I don’t mind the mesh effect of half-double crochet, I think that a combination of front and back post will give it more of a sweater vibe. Obviously I take my cozies very seriously.

I’ve been obsessed with cozies for a couple of years and its exciting to see everyone else getting the obsession too! There are so many awesome patterns out there now.
I know! It’s also so nice to have a variety to choose from (and receive questions as to where you got it!). Enjoy 🙂
